It's that time again! We have another stellar slate of Coign Charity Finalists...all recommended by YOU! We came across all four of these causes thanks to your submissions. There is no better validator than our Coign Community. Thank you for taking the time to submit your recommendations. In the coming weeks we will give each of them their individual spotlight leading up to our vote in April. We hope at least one of these deserving organizations will be the reason you Spend Right this month. Help us break another donation record!
America First Legal: America First principles are now under attack like never before. Our security, our liberty, our sovereignty, and our most fundamental rights and values are being systematically dismantled by an unholy alliance of corrupt special interests, big tech titans, the fake news media, and liberal Washington politicians. America First Legal℠ was founded to save our country from this coordinated campaign. With your support, we will oppose the radical left’s anti-jobs, anti-freedom, anti-faith, anti-borders, anti-police, and anti-American crusade.
Care Portal: There are over 400,000 kids in the U.S. foster system, and many people think that’s because those children have “bad” parents. Adrien Lewis, founder and president of CarePortal, knows that that’s often not the case. Real, systemic change is occuring in communities to reverse our nation’s foster care crisis as a result of the meaningful connections formed through CarePortal. Not through more programs. Not through more taxes. But through connection among a pre-existing network of caring people and local churches engaging in cross-sector collaboration, working together to facilitate local, proactive, and effective care for kids.
Hudson Institute: Hudson Institute is a research organization promoting American leadership for a secure, free, and prosperous future. Founded in 1961 by strategist Herman Kahn, Hudson Institute challenges conventional thinking and helps manage strategic transitions through interdisciplinary studies in defense, international relations, economics, energy, technology, culture, and law.
Hudson seeks to guide policymakers and global leaders in government and business through a robust program of publications, conferences, policy briefings, and recommendations.
Project Healing Waters: Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. began in 2005 serving wounded military service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, PHW has expanded nationwide, establishing its highly successful program in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics. The success of Project Healing Waters starts and ends with individual local programs. These are truly our boots on the ground. Volunteer-led and activity-centric, the majority of the camaraderie, connectedness, and ultimately healing at the center of Project Healing Waters happens at the program level. Coign is specifically supporting the Leavenworth, KS chapter.
